It starts with YOU!
Every year, we recruit hundreds of students who want learn how to ballroom dance. Most of the people who join have no dancing experience. The team, along with our professional coaches, will teach you to dance from the very first step. You don't need a partner to start.
You’ll be part of a team that offers scholarships, reaches out to the community, and wins inter-collegiate competitions throughout the year.
Come join us at any of our practices or free lessons and find out more about the team!

Newcomers have a Beginner Lesson every Saturday in the CCRB (from 4:30-6:30pm in the mirror room), and the team holds coached practices for Newcomers every Monday and Thursday at our practice space, DTS.
Throughout September and early October, the Team holds many, many events for our Newcomers. On any day at any event, there are always upper-level team members available and willing to help out Newcomers.
Check out the events HERE.
Placement on the A, B, C or Pre-C Teams is determined by our coaches during tryouts, held in the beginning of both Fall and Winter semesters. Generally, couples try out after their first semester as newcomers.
